Cancer Prevention Consultancy
Cancer of the colon is the second most frequent cause of cancer deaths.
In Germany, every year approximately 30.000 people die from this cancer although an early detected case of colon cancer can be cured. 80% of all bowel diseases can be avoided through a precautionary colonoscopy.
State-insured patients aged 55 and above are able to have a free colonoscopy as a part of our free prophylaxis program. The colonoscopy takes place in specialized internal departments or in the gastrointestinal department of specific hospitals. The patient is given a sedative injection which makes the inspection pain-free. Education on this treatment and help with making an appointment is given in your Gp‘s office.
